Biomechanical Bicycle Fit

Biomechanical Bicycle Fit

Bicycling has fast become a favorite method of exercise for many Americans, offering healthy training alongside the benefits of being outdoors and enjoying beautiful scenery. But, there can be a downside. Pain and discomfort after a ride can often lead to unnecessary injuries - many which can be avoided with minimal biomechanical adaptations.

With this in mind we developed the Biomechanical Bicycle Fit program, an educational consultation with a trained medical professional, meant to assist in injury and pain prevention.

The Biomechanical Bicycle Fit program begins by offering riders an assessment of their physical condition such as injuries, strength and flexibility. Next, in order to reduce risk of injury and maximize force production and bike control, we help determine the best biomechanical fit, customizing adjustments to the pedals, stem, seat, or handlebars.

We'll do our best to help you enjoy your ride, by providing detailed recommendations and adaptations. Contact Summit Therapy at (509) 332-5106 to schedule a consult Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
