Massage Therapy

Researchers are finding that massage can supplement standard medicine in treating a variety of health conditions in a drug-free, non-invasive manner. Summit Therapy offers a broad variety of massage and bodywork techniques, provided by our competent staff of licensed massage therapists. Our services are geared toward the medical model for those clients whose conditions have potential to respond favorably to massage.

Massage has many physiological benefits, including:

  • Increasing circulation, allowing the body to pump more oxygen and nutrients into tissues and vital organs
  • Relaxing and softening injured and overused muscles
  • Increasing joint flexibility
  • Reducing post-surgery adhesions and edema and reducing and realigning scar tissue after healing has occurred
  • Improving range of motion and decreasing discomfort for patients with low back pain
  • Providing exercise and stretching for atrophied muscles and reducing shortening of the muscles for those with restricted range of motion

We accept most major insurance plans but be sure to check with your carrier for massage therapy benefits prior to scheduling an appointment. Physician referral is necessary in most cases for third party payment.

For more information or to schedule an appointment, call (509) 332-5106 from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday.
