Occupational Therapy
Occupational therapy is meant to improve the ability of our patients to perform tasks in daily living and working environments. Successful treatment allows for independent, productive, and satisfying lives. Many types of injuries can benefit from occupational therapy, including:
- Lower back problems or repetitive stress injuries
- Limitations following a stroke or heart attack
- Arthritis, multiple sclerosis, or other serious chronic conditions
- Limitations following surgery
- Broken bones or other injuries from falls, sports injuries, or accidents
Services typically include:
- Customized assessments and treatment programs to improve the ability to perform daily activities
- Comprehensive home and job site evaluations with adaptation recommendations
- Adaptive equipment recommendations and usage training
- Education and training for family members and caregivers
- Custom fabrication of hand splints for acute, post-operative and non-acute, hand and upper extremity diagnoses
