PULLMAN MEMORIAL HOSPITAL TO CHANGE NAME
PULLMAN -- Pullman Memorial Hospital 's Board of Commissioners voted at the July 7 meeting to change the name of the new hospital to Pullman Regional Hospital .
The change comes as part of the hospital's efforts to provide an inclusive atmosphere to the demographically diverse employee and patron population of the facility.
"Regional" was chosen after input from numerous focus groups aimed around identifying ways the hospital can better serve the region.
Along with a new name, Pullman Regional Hospital will also introduce a new logo incorporating the rolling hills of the Palouse.
Logo modifications will compliment the overall color scheme of the hospital, a palate derived from the Palouse region.
Pullman Regional Hospital is a public hospital which serves as a replacement hospital for Pullman Memorial Hospital , a project funded largely through a bond passed by the citizens of Pullman .
The 95,000 square foot facility will house a state-of-the-art surgery center, wireless patient information and private patient rooms with views of the rolling Palouse landscape.
The facility is 85 percent completed and will open Dec. 16, 2004 . More information is available at www.pullmanhospital.org. |
