Pullman Regional Hospital is ranked in the top 1 percent

PULLMAN, WA—Pullman Regional Hospital is ranked in the top 1 percent (or 99th percentile) out of 1,499 hospitals nationwide in overall patient satisfaction. This is according to results from Press Ganey, an independent national healthcare surveyor, for the period from August 1 to October 31, 2006.

In addition, two primary patient care departments, the Medical/Surgical Unit and the Intensive Care Unit, ranked in the 99th percentile of hospitals surveyed during that time. Out of 763 hospitals surveyed by Press Ganey, Pullman Regional Hospital’s Medical/Surgical Unit ranked in the top 1 percent. Out of 253 hospitals surveyed by Press Ganey, Pullman Regional Hospital’s ICU ranked in the top 1 percent.

Out of 697 hospitals surveyed, BirthPlace ranked in the 94th percentile during this survey period.

Overall satisfaction with nursing care in the ICU ranked in the 99th percentile nationally and for hospitals surveyed with 100 or fewer beds (59 hospitals surveyed).

Overall satisfaction with nursing care in the Medical Surgical Unit ranked in the 97th percentile and overall satisfaction with physicians ranked in the 96th percentile nationally.

“We continue to use these survey results as a measure of the quality of care we provide to our patients and the community,” said Megan Guido, director of Community Relations. “Equally important, we use them to continuously improve our care and services.”
